National Physical Laboratory, London - December 2002
The National Physical Laboratory at Teddington, Middlesex, UK has been running extended trials, over a period of some nine months on a T-Track Reflow Chamber
.
The tests have been designed to examine the wetting performance of solder produced under the effects of a very low oxygen content (below 50 ppm Oxygen).
Dr Chris Hunt, of NPL says of the product,
"We are very pleased with the performance of the T-Track oven. The controlled oxygen level trials have gone very much to plan, with no unexpected hitches. This has been mainly due to the performance of the T-Track oven. We probably could not have accomplished this work in any other way.
As an oven the T-Track considerably outperforms our conventional 5-zone oven, and we prefer to use the T-Track rather than the 5-zone, even when we do not require inert atmospheres. We think the T-Track is an excellent product."
